Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
We want this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, need larger text, or prefer reduced motion.
The standard we work to
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We have not been independently certified against it, and we do not claim to have met every criterion.
What has been implemented
- The page language is declared on every page, so screen readers pronounce the content correctly.
- Every content page has exactly one main heading, confirmed across 121 content pages in the previous release, and headings are written to follow a logical order so a screen reader can move through a page by structure. The single main heading was checked automatically; the full ordering within each page has not been audited heading by heading.
- Every meaningful image carries alternative text, and decorative graphics are marked as decorative so screen readers skip them. An automated check of the previous release across 124 page variants confirmed that no image is missing its alternative text. It did not assess whether every description is a good one, and we have not reviewed them one by one.
- Optional visit sharing can be declined without blocking a form, and privacy choices can be reopened from the footer. The site can be operated with a keyboard. Navigation, menus and forms use native controls, and interactive elements show a visible focus indicator.
- Form fields have visible labels. Where a field is invalid, it is marked as invalid and linked to its error message, the first problem receives focus, and confirmation messages are announced.
- Reduced-motion preferences are supported in the animation controls and styles. We have not independently verified every animation against every assistive-technology configuration.
- The swipe control on contact links is an addition, not a requirement. The same links work by tap, click and keyboard.
- Colour choices were measured against contrast requirements when the palette was set, and colours that failed were replaced with darker versions for anything carrying text.
Where we know we fall short
An accessibility statement that claims perfection is not credible. These are the gaps we are aware of as of 15 October 2026:
- Skip links are not on every page. A link that jumps straight to the main content exists on Work With Us, What We Do and the People pages, but not on the homepage, Who We Are, the Industries pages or the Knowledge pages.
- No testing on physical devices. Testing was done on emulated screen sizes, not on real iOS or Android phones. Touch gestures, font rendering and viewport behaviour on real devices have not been confirmed.
- No screen-reader audit. No test has been carried out with an actual screen reader by a person who uses one.
- No independent audit. Contrast was measured when the palette was designed, but the finished pages have not been audited combination by combination, and no third-party accessibility review has been carried out.
- The interactive forms need JavaScript. If JavaScript is unavailable, you can still reach us by email and telephone, and those links are on the same page.
We are working through this list. This statement will be updated as items are closed.
How this site was tested
- Automated checks of the previous release across 125 page addresses and 152 referenced files, confirming page language, main-heading counts, alternative-text presence and internal link and image references. These checks did not audit every heading level or verify external links.
- Automated build, type and code checks, and the project's automated test suite.
- Review at emulated desktop and mobile screen sizes.
Testing date: 15 October 2026. No assistive-technology user testing and no physical-device testing have been carried out.
